Minoxidil lotion
What is minoxidil solution and what is it used for?
Minoxidil solution contains the active ingredient minoxidil . This product stimulates hair growth and helps slow hair loss in men with hereditary baldness (androgenetic alopecia).
- Specially intended for use on the scalp .
- Suitable for ages 18 and up.
- Works by activating and strengthening hair follicles.
When should you not use minoxidil or should you be extra careful?
Do not use this medicine if you:
- are allergic to minoxidil or any of the other ingredients,
- has a different pattern of hair loss (such as bald patches or sudden hair loss),
- don't know what's causing your hair loss,
- has an irritated, inflamed or painful scalp.
- Use with caution and consult a doctor if you have heart problems (e.g. heart rhythm problems, chest pain or circulation problems).
How do you use minoxidil solution?
- Apply 1 ml of solution to the bald areas of the scalp twice a day (morning and evening).
- Use the supplied applicator for even distribution.
- Massage gently and wash your hands after use.
- The scalp should be dry when applying.
- Keep the lotion away from eyes, mucous membranes and wounds.
When will there be results?
- Often visible after 2 to 4 months of regular use.
- Continue using consistently to maintain effects.
- No results after 4 months? Stop and consult your doctor.
Possible side effects
Like any medication, minoxidil can cause side effects. Not everyone experiences them.
Stop and consult a doctor immediately if:
- swollen hands, feet or face,
- difficulty breathing or swallowing,
- chest pain or palpitations.
Other possible side effects:
- scalp irritation or itching,
- headache or dizziness,
- temporary increase in hair loss in the first few weeks.
Use with other products
- Use a mild shampoo during the treatment.
- Wait with styling products until the foam has fully absorbed.
- When coloring or perming your hair: rinse out the foam first and inform your hairdresser.
- Do not combine with other scalp medications.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
This product is not suitable for women . Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Save
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Container is pressurised → do not expose to heat or open flame.
- Store at max. 50°C, protected from light.
What's in the box?
Excipients: propylene glycol, ethanol, water.
Packaging: a 60 ml bottle of lotion and an applicator (approximately 1 month's worth of treatment). A 3-pack contains 3 bottles, enough for 3 months of treatment.
